Advice For Plant Care When You Travel in Summer

Going on holiday can be a stressful period, especially in summer and if you have so many plants.

Here are some plant care tips to help keep your plants alive while you travel:

• Use plastic water-bottles with the holes in the lid. Place it upside down filled with water inside the soil. It will drip the water slowly in and hydrate the plants and soil.The bigger the bottle, the longer it will water for you. You can also make your own “ollas“. We wrote about it here.
• Take your plants away from the windows and hot temperatures, as direct sun will dry the soil faster.
• Put all your plants together, this will create a little micro-climate and will help the plants be happier.
